They came, they sawed, they conquered. Timber Kings, HGTV Canada’s #1 series, returns for a second season this winter. The master craftsmen at Pioneer Log Homes in Williams Lake, B.C. create the most elaborate, jaw-dropping log homes in the world. The physical exertion, tight deadlines and immense pressure are all in a day’s work for the master builders at Pioneer. But it isn’t all work and no play – the Timber Kings are up to their usual tricks with more pranks, challenges and hijinks around the yard. A massive hit last season, Timber Kings is set to log more hours Sundays at 10pm ET/PT beginning January 4th on HGTV Canada.

“At its core, Timber Kings is about the men and women of Pioneer Log Homes – the challenges are real, the stakes are high, and the achievements are huge. We know our audience loves aspirational programs and Timber Kings gives new meaning to the word with its amazing visuals and huge reveals,” said Christine Shipton, Senior Vice President, Content, Shaw Media. “Combine the gorgeous houses with the big personalities at Pioneer Log Homes and you have a hit television show.”

Crafting these magnificent homes requires a labour-intensive process to ensure top-notch quality for each client and problems can arise at any turn. Through it all, the Timber Kings crew lives and breathes the beauty of the wood they work with and the homes they build, making for larger-than-life reveals at the end of each episode.

In the season two premiere, the yard at Williams Lake is packed with ongoing projects being led by Beat and each is wrought with its own problems, from malfunctioning equipment to lack of manpower. Meanwhile in Shearwater, B.C., Bryan Jr. and his crew assemble a remote fishing cabin for a client. The team is on a tight deadline in an isolated area, and not having a key piece of equipment leaves them stumped.

“The authenticity of the stories we follow on Timber Kings is really at the heart of this series’ success,” says Cal Shumiatcher, Executive Vice President of Paperny Entertainment. “We are particularly proud to be telling these stories on HGTV’s #1 show.”

The Timber Kings are branching out in celebration of the program’s second season by opening the Timber Kings online store, where viewers can shop for gear including hoodies, tees, hats and toques – the perfect holiday gifts for every Timber Kings fan. For details, visit timberkingsmerch.com.
